Photos & Albums

Upload photos, organize them into albums, view them full-screen, share to your stream, and control who sees them.

7 Questions
Go to your Photos & Albums page. Because every photo lives in an album, your first upload happens when you create an album — you pick a name, an optional description, an audience, and an initial photo. After that, open any album and add more photos from there. Full guide: Photos and albums →
You can upload JPG, PNG, and WebP images, up to 20 MB each. Larger files are rejected, so shrink an oversized image before uploading. Photos are optimized automatically after upload so they load quickly.
On the Photos & Albums page, click "Create album," give it a name (a description is optional), choose an audience — Public, Followers only, or Only me — and pick an initial photo to start it off. You can rename it, change its audience, or delete it later.
From the stream, attach one or more photos to a post and share it — the photos then appear in your followers' streams. Photos you share publicly this way are collected automatically in your Stream Photos album so they stay organized with the rest of your media.
It depends on the album's audience. A Public album is visible to anyone, Followers only limits it to people who follow you, and Only me keeps it private to you. System albums like Profile Photos and Cover Photos are always public. If your whole profile is set to Private, your photos are hidden along with the rest of it.
Yes. Every image you upload is automatically checked for unsafe content before it becomes visible. If an image doesn't pass that safety check, the upload is rejected and nothing is stored. This applies to album photos, cover images, and photos shared to your stream.
To delete a single photo, open it full-screen and choose Delete from its menu — deleting a photo is permanent and can't be undone. To delete an album, open its menu and choose Delete; this removes the album and all the photos inside it. System albums can't be deleted.
