Credits

Credits are GS Poetry's in-app currency for reach and generosity: tipping poets, boosting your poems, and gifting other members. As a rough guide, 50 credits is about $1. Your wallet lives under Settings → Credits. Full guide: Understanding credits →

Engaged poets earn credits for what they already do — daily check-ins, poems readers validate (reads, likes, responses, Trending), thoughtful comments, a growing following, streaks, and achievements. GS Pro members also receive 100 credits every month. Earning unlocks after you publish 10 poems of 30+ words, are a member 30 days, and write 10 thoughtful comments — and you get a 25-credit bonus when you clear it.

Yes. Packs are one-time purchases (never a subscription) and never expire:

• 50 credits for $1.00
• 250 credits for $4.99
• 1,250 credits for $19.99 (+25% bonus)
• 3,000 credits for $39.99 (+50% bonus)

The volume bonus kicks in at the $19.99 pack. Buy them from Settings → Credits, or choose Buy Credits in the global header profile menu at the top of the page.

Open the poet's profile, open the profile card menu (the … button on their profile card) and choose Gift credits. Pick 25, 50 or 100 credits, tick Send Anonymously if you like, and tap Send Gift. The poet keeps every credit.

Yes. After you buy a credit pack, a receipt is emailed to you, and it's also listed in Receipts with a View link to the receipt. Without GS Pro, it's Receipts in the global header profile menu at the top of the page and in the Settings menu; with GS Pro, it's under Settings → GS Pro. The Receipts card at the bottom of Settings → Credits takes you to the right one. Packs bought before receipts were added to that page aren't listed; their emailed receipt is your record.

Tipping a poet from any poem (25, 50 or 100 credits), boosting any public poem of yours into extra clearly labeled stream slots for 7 days (50 credits), a cheaper 2-day boost (15 credits) for a poem at least 30 days old, gifting credits to another poet from their profile card menu, and gifting a boost to another poet's poem with Gift a Boost on the poem's page.

Tips come in three preset amounts — 25, 50, or 100 credits — sent right from a poem. The poet keeps every credit; GS Poetry takes nothing.

Yes. Any credits you have, from a pack or a welcome bonus, can be spent or gifted during your free week. Your 100 monthly GS Pro credits start with your first real payment. The free week doesn't skip the earning milestones that paying members skip, so most new members earn only the welcome bonuses at first.

Yes. My Patronage (in your profile menu, under Trophy Case) lists every tip, credit gift, gifted boost and gifted membership with the poet's name and the poem, in two tabs: Given and Received. You can filter by type and time, sort by largest, or search for one poet. Only you can see it. Your Credits History also names the poet on each tip and gift. Full guide: My Patronage →

Your balance and history are private — only you ever see your own wallet, never anyone else's. Credits are a closed loop: they never convert back to cash and there's no cash-out. Every movement, including any adjustment, shows in your wallet History with nothing hidden.

If a credit pack you bought is refunded after some of its credits were spent, the refund takes those credits back, so your balance can drop below zero. Spending pauses until it's back to zero, through earning or a top-up. Everything else works as usual.

Yes. Tick Send Anonymously in the Gift Credits or Gift a Boost window. The poet is told the gift came from "an anonymous supporter" and gets a Say thanks button for it in My Patronage; if they press it, you're told they said thanks, but they never learn it was you. Tips are always sent under your name. The GS Poetry team can still see who sent a gift when looking into a refund or a report. More on anonymous gifts →

Tips and gifts have a short limit on how many you can send in a row, so the system can't be abused. If you see "Tipping limit reached for now, try again later," wait a little and try again. Your credits aren't affected.
