Understanding credits
What credits are, how to earn or buy them, and what you can spend them on.

Overview
Credits are GS Poetry’s in-app currency for reach and generosity — tipping poets, boosting your own poems, and gifting other members. Your subscription buys the experience; credits buy reach, generosity, and polish. As a rough guide, 50 credits is about $1. Your wallet lives at Settings → Credits.
Earning credits
Engaged poets earn credits for the work they already do: daily check-ins, poems your readers validate (reads, likes, responses, Trending), thoughtful comments, a growing following, streaks, and achievements. GS Pro members also receive 100 credits every month with their membership.
Earning unlocks once you clear three milestones — publish 10 poems of 30+ words, be a member 30 days, and write 10 thoughtful comments (50+ words that others engage with) — and you pick up a 25-credit bonus when you do. GS Pro members skip the gate. Earning pauses after 30 days away and resumes automatically when you return.
Buying credit packs
You can top up any time. Each pack is a one-time purchase, never a subscription, and your credits never expire.
- 50 credits — $1.00
- 250 credits — $4.99
- 1,250 credits — $19.99 (+25% bonus)
- 3,000 credits — $39.99 (+50% bonus)
The volume bonus kicks in at the $19.99 pack.
Spending credits
- Tip a poet: send 25, 50, or 100 credits from any poem. The poet keeps every credit; GS Poetry takes nothing.
- Boost a poem: put any public poem of yours into clearly labeled extra stream slots for 7 days.
- Resurface an older poem: send a poem at least a month old back into the same Boosted slots for 48 hours.
- Send a gift: give credits to other poets.
Members on their free week earn credits normally but can’t spend or gift them yet — spending unlocks once you subscribe. The 100 monthly GS Pro credits also start with your first real payment, not during the free week.
Private, and closed-loop
Your balance and history are private — only you see your own wallet, never anyone else’s. Credits are a closed loop: they never convert back to cash and there is no cash-out. Every movement, including any adjustment, is listed in your wallet History with nothing hidden.
