My PatronageWho you've supported, and who supports you

Your private record of every tip, credit gift, gifted boost and gifted membership, both the ones you sent and the ones you received.

My Patronage is your own record of support on GS Poetry. It lists every tip, credit gift, gifted boost and gifted GS Pro membership between you and other poets: the ones you sent and the ones sent to you. Only you can see it.

Where to find it

  • Your profile menu: choose My Patronage, right under Trophy Case.
  • Your profile: on your own profile, open the profile card menu (the … button on your profile card) and choose My Patronage. Other members never see this option.
  • Credits: at the bottom of Settings → Credits, press Visit your My Patronage page.
  • Analytics: the Your supporters · all time card has a See My Patronage link.

The three totals

Three cards sit at the top of the page:

  • Credits given: everything you’ve spent on tips, gifts and boosts for other poets.
  • Poets supported: how many different poets you’ve backed.
  • Credits received: the credits other members have sent you, and how many members they came from.

The totals always count all time. The filters below them change the list, never the totals. Gifted memberships are paid in dollars, not credits, so they appear in the list but never in the credit totals.

Tip

A boost someone gifts you puts your poem in front of more readers, but it doesn’t put credits in your wallet. That’s why a gifted boost on your Received side reads Boost instead of a number, and doesn’t add to your credits received.

Given and Received

Use the round Given / Received switch to flip between the two sides. Each side shows how many entries it holds.

  • Given is the support you’ve sent: who it went to, what it was, and how many credits it cost.
  • Received is the support sent to you: who it came from, what it was, and how many credits you got.

Each row names the poet and, for a tip or a boost, the poem it was on. Click either one to open it. A credit gift says it was sent from or to a profile instead, and a gifted membership shows how long the year runs. If an account has since closed, the row says a closed account. If the poem has been removed or made private, it says a poem that’s no longer available. The support itself still counts.

Filters, sorting and search

  • Type: All, Tips or Gifts. Gifts covers every kind of gift: credits, boosts and memberships.
  • Time: All time, Last 30 days, This year or Last year.
  • Sort: Newest, Largest amount or Oldest.
  • Search by poet: type a username to see everything between the two of you.

A line above the list sums up what you’re looking at, for example “Showing 9 tips this year · 450 credits given.” Press Clear filters on that line to go back to everything. The list shows 20 entries at a time; press Load more for the rest.

Anonymous gifts and saying thanks

When someone gifts you credits, a boost or a membership with Send Anonymously ticked, the row reads an anonymous supporter instead of their name. Press Say thanks on that row and they get a notification that you said thanks. Neither of you learns who the other is from it. Once you’ve thanked them, the button reads Thanked!.

Gifted memberships get a Say thanks button whether or not the giver used their name. Tips are always sent under the sender’s name, so they never show as anonymous.

On your Given side, gifts you sent anonymously are marked sent anonymously, so you can tell them apart. More on anonymous gifts.

Who can see it

Only you. My Patronage isn’t a tab on your profile, and no one else can open yours, the same as your credit balance. When someone sends you support, they see it on their own Given side and you see it on your Received side.
