Email notification preferences

Choose how often each notification type emails you, and how to unsubscribe in one click.

Overview

You decide which notifications email you, and how often. Every preference lives in Settings → Notifications. Inbox notifications (the bell in the top bar) are managed separately from email — turning email off for a notification type does not silence it in your inbox, and vice versa.

One-click unsubscribe

Every notification email includes a one-click unsubscribe link in the footer. Clicking it turns off email delivery for that specific notification type. Your inbox notifications are unaffected.

You can also stop email for everything at once by choosing Inbox only delivery in Settings → Notifications.

Email cadence options

Each notification type can be delivered to your email on one of four schedules:

• Instant — emailed as it happens.
• Hourly — bundled into a single email every hour.
• Daily — bundled into a single email once a day.
• No Email — no email; the notification still appears in your inbox if inbox is on.

Digests group multiple notifications together so you don’t get a flood of separate emails. Active conversations may switch to instant temporarily — you can override that in Settings → Notifications.

Step-by-step

1. Open Settings → Notifications.
2. Choose Email or Both delivery, and each notification type shows its own cadence dropdown.
3. Pick Instant, Hourly, Daily, or No Email for each type. Changes save automatically.
4. Use the master switch at the top of the page to pause every notification — inbox and email — in one tap.

If something goes wrong

• I unsubscribed but I’m still getting emails — one-click unsubscribe only affects the notification type you unsubscribed from. Other types keep their existing cadence. Set delivery to Inbox only in Settings → Notifications to stop them all at once.
• I can’t find a notification in my inbox — email and inbox are independent. Confirm your inbox toggle for that type in Settings → Notifications.
• Digest emails arrive at unpredictable times— hourly and daily digests batch on the platform’s schedule, not the minute you signed up. You may wait up to an hour (hourly) or a day (daily) for the next batch after enabling.
