Understanding achievements and streaks
Every trophy you can earn — the five tiers, how badges unlock, and the milestones for each category.

Overview
Achievements are trophies you earn for being active on GS Poetry— for publishing, for being read, for keeping a daily habit, and for taking part in the community. They live in your Trophy Case, and they only ever move in one direction: once you’ve earned a badge, it’s yours for good. This guide explains every tier, how badges unlock, and the exact milestones for all six categories.
The 5 tiers
Every badge belongs to one of five tiers. The tier sets the medallion’s color and signals how hard the milestone is to reach — from a quick first win to a genuinely rare achievement.
- Bronze. Entry milestone — you’re getting started.
- Silver. Established — a real habit is forming.
- Gold. Serious commitment.
- Platinum. Rare air.
- Diamond. Elite — the very top of the ladder.
Each category has its own ladderof milestones, so the number of badges isn’t the same everywhere — and a single tier can span more than one milestone (Poet, for instance, has two Bronze rungs). Altogether there are 34 badges across the six categories. In your Trophy Case, the highest tier you’ve unlocked in a category is “crowned” with a glow; badges you haven’t earned yet show dimmed with a small lock, but their target stays readable so you always know what’s next.
How badges unlock
Most categories track a running counter(poems published, followers, total reads, comments written). When that number goes up, every milestone at or below the new total unlocks at once — so importing 60 poems in one go sweeps straight through the early poem badges in a single pass. New milestones added later backfill automatically the next time the counter ticks.
The two streak categories work differently. A streak badge is awarded the day your streak hits the number exactly. Streaks reset to zero if you miss a full day in your timezone, so after a miss the day count has to climb back up to reach the next milestone.
Either way, unlocking a badge sends you an in-app notification and adds the moment to your activity stream. Badges never lock again — if a follower later unfollows, you keep the follower badges you already earned.
Where to find them
Your Trophy Case is on your profile under Achievements. You’ll need to be signed in to view it — yours or anyone else’s. Streaks live in the same place: the Reading Streak and Writing Streak tracks show your medallions plus a live status strip with your current run, your longest-ever streak, progress to the next milestone, and your last activity.
Poet — poems published
Rewards publishing. Counter: the total poems you’ve posted publicly.

Diamond isn’t the same number everywhere — each category’s apex is set to be legendary but reachable for that activity. Total reads top out at a million; followers at 100,000; a streak Diamond is 1,000 days (about 2.7 years of not missing a single day). Streaks are the one place a single slip resets you to zero, so protecting a long streak is its own kind of achievement.
