Payments, invoices, and receipts
How GS Pro payments are processed, where to find your receipts, and what happens if a charge fails.

Overview
GS Pro payments are handled by our payment provider, which processes your card securely and keeps the record of every charge. GS Poetry never sees or stores your full card number. This guide covers where your receipts live, what happens when a payment fails, and how refunds work.
Finding your invoices and receipts
Every charge — your first payment, each renewal, and any plan change — generates an invoice you can view and download:
- Go to Settings → Membership.
- Open Billing History.
- Each entry has a downloadable receipt, handy for expenses or your own records.
If a payment fails
Cards expire and charges occasionally get declined — it's not a problem to panic about. When a renewal doesn't go through:
- Your membership enters a short payment problem (past-due) state, and you keep your GS Pro features during this grace window — access isn't cut off at the first failed charge.
- Settings → Membership shows a clear Update payment method button. Add a working card and the charge is retried automatically.
- If the payment is never resolved, the membership eventually lapses to Free. You won't be charged again, and your poems and account stay intact.
The simplest way to avoid an interrupted membership is to update your card before it expires, from Payment Methods in Settings → Membership. See Managing your GS Pro subscription.
Refunds
Because you can cancel any time and keep access through the period you already paid for, most people never need a refund — you always use the full time you bought, and the free week every new account starts with means you've tried GS Pro before you ever pay. If you do need one, open Settings → Membership → Billing History: each charge shows its refund status, and there's a Request a refund or dispute a charge link that opens a support request pre-filled with that charge's details. Refunds are reviewed by our team — they aren't instant or automatic, but you'll get a response.
If something goes wrong
- "I was charged after I thought I canceled." Check Billing History for the charge date and open Settings → Membership to confirm your status. If a renewal slipped through, contact support with the invoice.
- "My card keeps getting declined." Confirm the card isn't expired and has funds, then re-enter it under Payment Methods. Some banks block recurring charges until you approve them — a quick call to your bank often clears it.
- "I need a proper invoice with my details." Download it from Billing History; the receipt from our payment provider is a valid record for expenses.
Where to go next
