Downloading a copy of your data
Request a portable archive of everything you've created on GS Poetry — poems, photos, comments, and messages — and download it when it's ready.

Overview
You can take a full copy of everything you’ve created on GS Poetry with you at any time. From your account settings you request an export, we assemble it into a single downloadable archive, and we email you the moment it’s ready. Your work is always yours — this just puts a portable copy in your hands.
What’s included
The archive gathers the things you’ve made across the site into one file:
- Every poem you’ve published, plus your drafts.
- Your photos.
- Your comments.
- Your messages.
How to request your export
- Go to Settings → My Account and open the Manage Account tab.
- Expand the Data Portability section and click Download My Data.
- Because this is a sensitive action, we’ll first ask you to confirm it’s really you — a quick code or your password.
- We start preparing your archive. This can take a few minutes, and you’re free to leave the page — we’ll email you when it’s ready.
Downloading it when it’s ready
Once your archive is assembled, the Data Portability section shows a Your archive is ready card with a Download Archive button. Click it and your archive opens in a new tab to save to your device. For your security the download link is short-lived and freshly generated each time you click, so if a link ever expires just return to this section and download again.
After a successful export you can’t create another download link for 24 hours. The card shows the exact date and time your link expires, so you know when you can request a fresh one. If an export ever fails, you can simply try again — only a completed export starts the 24-hour wait.
