Data Deletion

This page explains how to delete your GS Poetry account and the personal data associated with it. It applies to every account, no matter how you signed up — including accounts created with Facebook, Google, or X sign-in.

1. Delete your account yourself

The fastest way to remove your data is to close your account from within the app:

1. Sign in to GS Poetry.
2. Go to Settings → Account.
3. Before you close the account, you can export a copy of your data from the same screen, so you keep your own copy of your poems and information.
4. Choose Close account and confirm. For your security, closing your account and exporting your data are both protected by a security check.

Closing your account immediately removes your access to the website and its features, and removes your GS Pro features.

2. What happens to your poems

Closing your account does not automatically remove the poems you published from our website or database — by default your published work is retained. If you want your poems completely removed from our databases as well, you must ask us to scrub them.

To request full removal of your poems, contact our support team or email us at support@gspoetry.com. We recommend exporting your work first, since removal is permanent.

3. Ask us to delete your data

If you would prefer that we handle deletion for you, or you can no longer sign in, send us a deletion request and we will delete your account and the personal information we hold about you. Email support@gspoetry.com or use our contact form, and tell us the email address or username on the account so we can locate it.

All deletion requests are processed within 45 days. We will not discriminate against you for exercising this right, and you may authorize someone else to make a request on your behalf.

4. Your related privacy rights

Depending on where you live (for example, if you are a California resident under the CCPA/CPRA), you have additional rights over your personal information, which we honor regardless of your location:

• Delete: request that we delete your account and personal information.
• Know & access: request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
• Correct: ask us to fix inaccurate personal information.
• Portability: receive your information in a portable format (the in-app data export above).

5. Accounts belonging to children

GS Poetry is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of thirteen (13). If you are the parent of a child under 13 who created an account using a false birth date, please notify our support team. We will promptly investigate, close the child's account, and delete all information associated with it from the site and our databases. See our COPPA page for more.
